When it comes to case type names, there can be many variations. For example, an Automobile Accident case can be called Motor Vehicle Accident or Car Crash. Lexamica is now equipped to recognize the different naming variations a case type can have.

Here’s how it works:

When creating a new referral in Lexamica, the first thing you are asked to do is select the case type. As you type in the search bar, a list of matching case types will appear. In the example below, searching for “accident” returns the Automobile Accident case type.

You will notice this case type is also known as Car Crash, Auto Accident and Motor Vehicle Accident. If you would have typed “car” instead, the same results would appear. To continue, click “select” to confirm your choice and carry on with the referral creation process.

To ensure your case type is supported, email [email protected] to add your names to the CaseType Thesaurus. For those firms sending referrals via Zapier, Smart Advocate or one our other supported integrations, the action is the same. Once your case type name is added as a synonym, you may continue sending referrals with your case type name and Lexamica will automatically route the referral to the matching partner.
